Welcome once again to “The Invisible Church”. To-day we will have a further discussion on prayer, and I’ll give you another sack of seeds to sow in your heart through meditation and confession. The Holy Spirit through the Word urge’s us to pray for one another.
James.5:16. (KJV) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
He then gives us an assurance that our prayers avail much, if you are born again then you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and your prayers avail.
Gal.4:19. (KJV) My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.
Here we see the apostle stating that his little children, he is speaking of men and woman who had received Jesus and were born again but his work didn’t end there, he goes on further to pray for them until Christ be formed in them.
Phil.1:6. (KJV) Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Here we see the confidence he has in his prayers availing much, and that the good work that God had began in them was growing and would continue to grow in them until Jesus comes again.
Rom.1:8. (KJV) First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
Here he is offering up the prayer of thanksgiving for the growth that has taken place in Christian people’s lives.
I want to encourage you to pray, not only for yourselves and your loved ones but for the body of Christ universal. In the book of Colossians we find Holy Spirit given prayers, given to Paul to pray for the body of Christ, those prayers are still God breathed prayers to-day that we, the body of Christ, ought to pray for one another. So let’s get to it and pray for one another until Christ be formed in us.
Here is your sack of seed’s to sow into your heart and into the lives of your brothers and sisters all over the world.
All scripture references are taken from the Amplified Bible:
Col.1:9-14. For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for you, [asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things, that you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition].
[We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy, giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light. [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.
Col.2:5-7. For though I am away from you in body, yet I am with you in spirit, delighted at the sight of your [standing shoulder to shoulder in such] orderly array and the firmness and the solid front and steadfastness of your faith in Christ [that leaning of the entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness]. As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk (regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in union with and conformity to Him. Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving.
Col.3:12-17. Clothe yourselves therefore, as God’s own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper]. Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must you also [forgive]. And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony]. And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts. And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him.
A prayer for the body of Christ:
Father, I pray and confess your word over the body of Christ. I pray that they be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of your will in all spiritual wisdom, that is, in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things; that they walk, live and conduct themselves in a manner worthy of you Lord: fully pleasing to you and desiring to please you in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of you, with fuller, deeper and clearer insight, acquaintance and recognition.
I thank you Father that the body of Christ is invigorated and strengthened with all power, according to the might of your glory, to exercise every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy, giving thanks to you, Father, who has qualified and made them fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the light. You, Father, have delivered and drawn them to yourself out of the control and dominion of darkness and have transferred them into the kingdom of the Son of your love, in whom they have their redemption through His blood, which means the remission of their sins.
Father, you delight at the sight of the body of Christ [standing shoulder to shoulder in such] orderly array and the firmness and the solid front and steadfastness of their faith in Christ [that leaning of the entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness]. They walk (regulate their lives and conduct themselves) in union with and conformity to Him, having the roots of their being firmly and deeply planted in Him, fixed and founded in Him, being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith.
Your people, Father, clothe themselves as your own picked representatives, your chosen ones, who are purified and holy and well-beloved by you by putting on behaviour marked by tender-hearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, gentle ways and patience – which is tireless, long-suffering and have the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper. I thank you Father that your people are gentle and forbearing with each other and, if they have a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as you Lord have freely forgiven them, so they also forgive.
Your people put on love and enfold themselves with the bond of perfectness, which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony. They let the peace from Jesus act as umpire continually in their hearts – deciding and settling with all finality all the questions that arise in their minds – in that peaceful state to which they are called. They are thankful, appreciative, giving praise to you always.
I thank you Father that the body of Christ lets the word spoken by Christ the Messiah have its home in their hearts and minds and dwell in them in all richness, as they teach, admonish, and train each other in all insight, intelligence, and wisdom in spiritual songs, making melody to you, Father, with your grace in their hearts, and whatever they do in word or deed, they do everything in the Name of the Lord Jesus and in dependence upon His person, giving praise to you, Father, through Him.
This prayer can be prayed in full or in parts as you are led by the Holy Spirit to do. Have a happy day and share His love and Word with someone else.
If you don’t have Jesus in your heart, you need Him to come into your heart and give you God’s life, to make that happen all you have to do is pray the following prayer from your heart and receive the gift of eternal life that God is offering you to-day:
“Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from dead, I shall be saved. Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I make Him Lord of my life right now. I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan. “I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Jesus is now my Lord, and I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. Now all things become new in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
